Fruit Cobbler

This traditional dessert has been pleasing people since America’s colonial days. Our fruit cobbler recipe is simple but packs all the flavors you’d expect from this enduring favorite. Just add the fresh fruit of your choice and our mix will bake into a buttery crust we hope will delight you and yours as much as it does us. Take it to another level with vanilla ice cream.

Fruit Filling:

1 can (21 oz.) berry pie filling

1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen fruit

1/4 cup orange marmalade

 

Crust:

2 1/4 cups CB Old Country Store® Buttermilk Baking and Pancake Mix

1/2 cup milk

3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 teaspoon finely grated orange zest, optional

Method

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Lightly grease 9-inch deep dish pie pan.

3. In medium bowl, combine pie filling, fresh fruit and marmalade.

4. Spoon mixture evenly into pan.

5. In medium bowl, stir together crust ingredients until crumbly.

6. Sprinkle topping uniformly over filling.

7. Bake 35-38 minutes or until golden brown.
